Fahmi Fadzil – MP Lembah Pantai / Bangsar

​Ahmad Fahmi bin Mohamed Fadzil has been serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lembah Pantai since May 2018. During his tenure, he has initiated several projects and addressed various issues to benefit Bangsar and its neighboring areas.​

One of Fahmi’s notable efforts was advocating for the restoration of the area’s original name from “Bangsar South” back to “Kampung Kerinchi.” This change aimed to honor the rich history and identity of the early settlers. Developers had previously rebranded the area to “Bangsar South” to enhance property values, but Fahmi worked diligently to revert it, emphasizing the importance of preserving the community’s heritage.​

In addressing local concerns, Fahmi collaborated with Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh in 2020 to call for an investigation into the Bangsar-Damansara Elevated Highway project. They urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to examine the project’s funding and transparency, reflecting Fahmi’s commitment to ensuring that development projects serve the community’s best interests.​

Furthermore, Fahmi has actively engaged with Bangsar business owners to tackle issues related to late-night activities. In December 2024, he met with local entrepreneurs to discuss solutions for disturbances caused by patrons drinking into the early hours, aiming to foster a more peaceful environment for residents.​

Fahmi also demonstrated transparency and accountability by presenting a report card on his first-year achievements as an MP in December 2019. This initiative made him the first MP to publicly share such a report, highlighting his dedication to keeping constituents informed about his work and accomplishments.​
